Who We Are
At the height of the COVID pandemic, parents discussed the dismal reality facing their sons and daughters as the school system was completely disrupted. As things returned to normal, it was apparent that there was a chance that the learning and development gaps created by this period would stay with us longer than expected, perhaps indefinitely for those with developmental disabilities. It was the desire to address this issue that Home Care Sweet Home came to be – Parents desperate to close this gap for children with developmental disabilities. Desperate to find an alternative to the inadequate institutionalized care for their children, this group of committed parents worked tirelessly to create a new model of community living for people with developmental disabilities, committed to serving their community and empowering its members. Our members are to live together and celebrate simple pleasures: a good night’s sleep, joyous holidays together, and experiencing life’s milestones. We believe in the possibility of a better future and work every day to make that a reality for our members and families.
